ABOUT…
Food Sensitivity Testing

Price: £210 for 100 foods tested OR £285 for 210 foods tested.

  • A food sensitivity*, (or maybe you know it as a food intolerance?)...
is an adverse reaction to certain foods we eat. This reaction is directly measured by analysing an antibody called Immunoglobulin G, or IgG, which is in association with an immune response. The reason for this may be due to microbiome imbalances, which can also lead to compromised gut linings, which can result in leaky gut. This means larger undigested particles enter the bloodstream and are attacked by our immune system. The breakdown process of this response results in inflammation that manifests in many different ways.

Food Sensitivity Testing involves analysing your body’s response to various foods to identify which ones may cause these adverse reactions. Our comprehensive lab testing can help discover other root causes of many digestive issues.

We cover a broad spectrum of sensitivities, testing against 100 or 210 different foods, depending on the test chosen.

Click an option below to see what food sensitivities we test for:
    100 foods OR 210 foods

  • FS symptoms can include:

    • Bloating, gas, diarrhoea, constipation, IBS***

    • Weight Gain

    • Headaches or migraines

    • Eczema, rashes, acne, hives

    • Fatigue or lethargy

    •  Joint pain

    • Respiratory symptoms

  • Our Food Sensitivity test is a simple home to laboratory finger prick testing service, where we will either take the sample in clinic or ship your testing kit direct to your home and ship the sample directly back to YourGutMap’s UK based laboratory.

Check out the instructional video by clicking here.

The test requires a small sample of your blood, which is then examined for specific antibodies or other markers that indicate a reaction to certain foods.

The 210 food test also includes a hs-CRP test: This measures the concentration of high-sensitivity C-Reactive Protein, a protein produced by the liver in response to inflammation. This test is used to primarily to asses the presence of low grade inflammation, which may be indicative of various conditions including cardiovascular diseases, infections, and autoimmune disorders.

  • Say goodbye to bloating, headaches, fatigue and other discomforts!

Discovering your unique food sensitivities, we then analyse your results to assist you adapting your diet and improving your overall health.

We're all unique and our body's react to foods in different ways - This is the ultimate test to help you make more informed dietary choices that work for you.

    • Quantitative results identifying your level of reactive against 100 or 210 food and drinks.

    • A colour code scheme of results to identify foods to avoid, limit and consume:

      • Red Foods are to be avoided and replaced for 12 weeks

      • Amber Foods are to be consumed as treats on a weekend or part of a 4 day rotation cycle

      • Blue Foods are safe to consume (unless you are allergic to that food)

    • A total immune load score to show the current immune stress on the body as a results of your current diet

    • A Specialist Guidebook with suggested alternative foods.

ABOUT…
GUT Microbiome & Microbiome Plus Testing

Price: £300 (OR £370 for Plus).

  • Addressing our microbiome imbalances can help reduce associated health conditions such as, IBS*** , IBD, metabolic disorders, autoimmune diseases and food sensitivities. This is due to imbalancing causing our bad bacteria to eat away at the mucosal (intestinal) lining of our gut. This leads to the breakdown of the structural integrity of our digestive system and causes bad bacteria, pathogens, viruses, toxins and undigested food proteins to enter the bloodstream. This puts additional strain on our immune system and could cause chronic health conditions in later life if not corrected.

Gut Microbiome testing analyses the types of bacteria present in your gut to understand its current state and health. The 'Microbiome Plus' includes additional analysis for a more comprehensive view.

  • These tests involve submitting a stool sample that is then analysed in a lab. The analysis focuses on identifying the diversity and types of bacteria present.

Our Microbiome test is an easy to do home to laboratory testing service, where the kit is shipped direct to you and you conduct the testing in the comfort of your own home (or in clinic, at your appointment). ABOUT…
DNA Genetics Health Testing

Price: £300.

  • Our DNA is what makes us who we are. It is a library of instructions that provides the blueprint for our body’s development, functioning and growth of organisms.

Our genetics can play a vital role in our overall health and wellbeing, but are not your destiny!

Let's think of this as Nature vs Nurture, life's biggest challenge.

What can we do personally to try and work with our body to prevent longer term health conditions?

I am sure if you were told how to avoid this you would do it, right? Well DNA is the answer to this first instructional step to understanding your body’s fundamentals.

Understanding our genetic predispositions can be a crucial aid in understanding how we can manage our health on a day to day basis; but if we were able to adopt better habits and integrate them into our way of living it would allow us to keep our mutated genes at bay. Mutated genes are those that may have a negative impact on our health.

A useful analogy is that of a lightbulb switching on and off. Turning a light switch on represents the activation or expression of a gene, while turning it off represents the suppression or inhibition of gene expression.

Genes being activated or repressed in response to changing conditions, means we have the ability to adopt lifestyle changes that essentially keep that lightbulb switched off and the mutated gene would never turn on, thus avoiding the negative effects. For example a mutated COMT gene leaves individuals more susceptible to stress meaning if not addressed, could lead to adrenal fatigue, increased inflammation, higher blood pressure and chronic heart disease. However if we were to exercise more, wear less irritable clothing, adopt stress management techniques such as meditation and breathe through situations that make you angry, then the mutated COMT gene remains switched off. Therefore leaving you less susceptible to the health conditions listed prior.

YourGutMap explores your personal genetic profile within the context of 8 elements of health and wellbeing: digestion, metabolism, stress, immunity, nutrients, stimulants, exercise and sleep.

Click here to find out what areas the DNA Genetics Health Test reports on.
Click here to see an Example of the DNA & Lifestyle Report you'll receive.

You also receive 3 months of support from Kelly after your results to provide a supported start to your gut health journey.

  • A simple saliva swab is sent to our Lab for analysis. Through complex genetic analysis, we work with YourGutMap to identify your genes and provide a comprehensive Health Report.

Your personal Health Report provides detailed insights into which aspects of your genetic makeup can affect your health, unlocking key health insights from 30 SNPs (genetic variations)  that have been researched within the nutrigenomics field. DNAMap explores your personal genetic profile within the context of 8 elements of health and wellbeing: digestion, metabolism, stress, immunity, nutrients, stimulants, exercise and sleep.

Kelly will work with you to understand your results and the Nutrition & Lifestyle Guide providing guidance on how to manage your diet and lifestyle in accordance with your genetic makeup. From basic insights such as how well you can tolerate caffeine, all the way through to how your genes are suited to digestion, micronutrients, exercise and many more. You'll also receive a secure log in to view and download results.

Your Data: We take your privacy seriously, each DNA sample is destroyed after testing, and your data is completely anonymous, with a unique barcode ID.

  • We know DNA tests can be complicated to understand, but our laboratory providers YourGutMap provide an insight into the aspects of your DNA, whilst explaining its role to your bodily function.

We will then highlight whether you have a genetic mutation (RED) whilst offering a page reference within the Nutrition & Lifestyle Guide (NLG) which provides guidance on how to manage your diet and lifestyle in accordance with your genetic makeup. From basic insights such as how well you can tolerate caffeine, all the way through to how your genes are suited to digestion, micronutrients, exercise and many more.

When you take this test you receive 3 months aftercare support from Kelly to help you on your gut health journey!

Kelly Ryan will send you your results and you will have a remote appointment or follow up call to help you to understand them. From there you'll be recommended appropriate diet and lifestyle changes to begin your 3-month gut healing journey.

Kelly will be on hand to answer any of your queries during this time,(Yes, you can even send over "Can I eat this?" queries), and will help you in re-introducing foods as your gut heals.
